If you’ve never used MCT Oil – it is a very interesting product. Medium Chain Trigylcerides also known as MCTs, are made of strings of carbon & hydrogen, and mct’s have 6-12 carbons. It is derived from coconuts (and sometime palm or butter) and is an extremely healthy fat. This fat converts to ketone bodies and basically cannot be stored. Of these, C8s (caprylic acid) have been shown to be the most effective at converting. So when you are on an extremely clean and healthy diet, adding in MCT oil provides your body with a fat for a source of energy, but whatever your body doesn’t need, it will not store. There are many studies about its positive effects on brain health, and much more. As a side note, if you’ve experienced gastro issues with MCT oils before, it’s most likely it was not majority of c8. This is why we like the products below, as it is pure to C8 MCTs

Drink or take BCAAs 15 mins before workout, as well as during and after a workout. Final note about BCAAs- determine the source of these amino acids.
